John Edwards: Fantasy Football (with Poll -- VOTE HERE!)

If you care to join me in remaining a John Edwards supporter, what would you hope for him to do, and when, to manifest his return, to win the 2008 race to the Oval Office?

I kinda like this one, but I have another idea, a few inches below the fold.

If you're not an Edwards supporter at this time, play along?  Pretend your prefered candidate has been abducted by cute, harmless E.T.s, and through a freak time warp will return, safe, sound, and healthier than ever, 4 years hence. Under that hypothetical, what scenario of John Edwards versus the GOP would appeal to you?  Go ahead, think BIG!!

Now, for those who actively support another candidate, release that mean comment before you even post it, I mean you no harm.  And yes, Nader irritates me greatly, at this point, as does sweet, loveable fuzzball Kinky for Governor 2010.

Now, here's the scene that would greatly tickle my fancy: John Edwards, forming a new Dean & Gore influenced Democratic Party, and running separate from, and counter to, McHuckomney, and against whichever of the corporate Democrats gets nominated by the very broken primary system under which we currently suffer.  Three way race, John Edwards vs GOP vs Corporate Democrat #1.5.

Oh yah, and paper-trail ballots, for pure fantasy purposes.  Mmmm, President John Edwards, we salute you!

Sincere apologies to those who hate the risk of Nader-style vote splitting -- an age or two ago, I voted for Nader, with some enthusiasm, in futility.  At the time, Al Gore didn't resonate for me.  Now?  I'd gladly vote for Al Gore, and pro-actively work to get him elected.  I didn't vote for Nader the second time around, and that was a grim choice, as John Kerry distinctly leaves me turned off.  Come this November, if John Edwards doesn't make the ballot, I won't be a hater against the Democrat candidate, no worries.  

You've read this far, so give just a little bit more, and please forgive me.  In the case of John Edwards, oh HELL YES I am voting FOR someone, like, WOO HOO, Hire This Man For President!! As I support you having a candidate that you gladly vote FOR, thus and so, John Edwards has my primary vote, hands down.
